drummingjim.co.uk

This is the second website of the holidays. I think this one was different from the first as I was given free reign on what the design would look like. The client was just about to graduate from the ACM in Guildford, and he wanted a site which would be easy to navigate and appeal to a wide range of potential students. Unlike most drum tuition websites on the web he wanted his to be light.

What I have tried to create is a simple way to navigate, easy to read website which creates effortless control for the viewer.

The colours I used were to reflect a light feel the white background contrasting to the dark text and, when rolled over light blue enables the viewer to feel they are in an environment they can control with ease.

I wanted to give this website a twist whereby music meets design, the font I used is welcoming to the eye and urges the viewer to click the buttons. The one main problem I had in this process was the use of safe and non-safe web fonts. I feel that as I get to grips with different web briefs I am learning as I go along.
